Visual Field Examination
OCTOPUS 600 (HAAG-STREIT)
This is an examination with which we examine the patient’s peripheral vision. The patient places his head in front of a dome. The machine uses a special algorithm with bright lights to test peripheral vision in a way that is objective. The results of this test give us a graph which is evaluated by the doctor. Examination of the visual fields is very important for conditions such as glaucoma, anterior ischemic ophthalmopathy and general optic nerve diseases.
