A-scan Ultrasound
ELLEX V4: this is an ultrasound method with which we can measure the axial length of the eye. The normal axial length is around 23.00 mm. Patients with axial length under 20.00mm usually have hypermetropia and a small eye while over 25.00mm they usually have myopia and a large eye. Calculating the axial length is very important pre-operatively before cataract surgery.
